I was very tired of the world of average service. I was angry about uncaring, just-going-through-the-motions “service.” When I started Woodlake Medical, I needed to make sure that Woodlake would never fall into the trap of complacency – that every person at Woodlake would treat you like you really, truly count, like you deserve the best. Like you are a crazy-busy person with an insane amount of pressure on you and that we can help relieve the pressure.
Before Woodlake, I also became tired of average and/or poor quality independent medical evaluation reports. Too many were generated in a hurry-up fashion that may or may not have given even basic answers, much less substantiated answers, to questions. So we got to work on developing the culture of “The Explanation Company.”
Woodlake knows that you need and deserve credible IME opinions that provide medical explanation and rationale so clear that anyone can understand. The opinion needs to nail all the issues, whichever way the opinion goes. The key is to provide the right medical opinion that brings definition to your undefined cases and presents the clearest outcomes for the insurer, the company and the claimant. And it can’t take forever to deliver the report. You say you need it as quickly as humanly possible with as few mistakes as humanly possible. We agree!
Having a job is necessary. Having a fulfilling job where each of us can make a meaningful difference for our clients and co-workers while having fun doing so is way more necessary. Woodlake strives for that. There’s enough stress and difficulty in our worlds the way it is, so if we can cultivate an environment where everyone has the opportunity to redirect that stress, support each other, provide awesome service and, at the same time, have a bunch of good laughs with people we enjoy, why not do it?
How can we effect positive change outside of the company? If we can share our success by supporting an amazing pediatric clinic in Haiti that serves children who, without it, might stay chronically ill or might even die, why not do it? This is just one of the philanthropic causes Woodlake supports. We encourage our employees to share information about a foundation or charity they support to give us the opportunity to contribute to that cause.
This is Woodlake Medical.
